A BabyBolzer from the very first heartbeat

Bochum, 21 December 2021 +++ Two traditional brands are joining forces: babymarkt.de and VfL Bochum 1848 are making little and big fans’ hearts beat faster with the premiere of BabyBolzer.

The Kids Club and family block should not be missing from any well-known professional club, because football already arouses great enthusiasm in the little ones. VfL Bochum 1848 and babymarkt.de are now going one step further together. For first-time fans, this is a real premiere throughout Germany: VfL is the first Bundesliga club to offer parents-to-be the opportunity to pre-register their offspring as members as soon as they receive their pregnancy certificate. Until now, parents had to wait until they received the birth certificate. At the cult club on Castroper Straße, the true fans are there from the first heartbeat.

VfL Bochum 1848 and the new VfL network partner babymarkt.de have jointly launched the unique prenatal commitment to their heart’s club. “VfL Bochum is looking forward to a new and innovative cooperation, through which we are the first football club in Germany to be able to offer our fans this exclusive programme,” says Christoph Wortmann, Director of Marketing & Sales at VfL Bochum 1848. The name-giver for the prenatal commitment is mascot Bobbi Bolzer: the BobbiKlub is for children aged 0 to 12, while the BabyBolzer is for children before that.

Furthermore, registration as a BabyBolzer is a non-binding pre-registration for the VfL’s children’s club, the BobbiKlub. Up to three months after the birth, new parents can register their offspring in the BobbiKlub and enter their date of birth as the official date of entry to VfL. In this way, the blue and white commitment is secured from the very first minute.
