Junior Logistics Manager

When I handed in my Master’s thesis in summer 2020, I was thinking a lot about finding a job, which wasn’t going to be easy in pandemic times. So I was all the more pleased when shortly afterwards I first received an invitation to an interview and then an acceptance letter from babymarkt.de. Today, I can say that I am still very happy to have had this opportunity, as I was very well received by my colleagues and feel very comfortable in the team. As a trainee, I can get to know the different areas of logistics and other departments. New aspects await me every day, which make my daily work routine very varied. After my theoretical studies I can now gain a lot of practical experience.

What excites me most about project management is the wide variety and range of tasks, as well as the active involvement in shaping the company’s progress. Starting as a trainee allowed me to work in different departments within the company to get to know babymarkt.de as a whole and to be able to work on projects across numerous departments. I felt at home at babymarkt.de right from the start and was able to take on responsibility and help with projects after only a short time. I can now ideally use the experience I gained during my trainee period while working as a junior project manager.

My babymarkt story began quite by chance in 2018 with a taster day in our store development. The warm welcome and the great team spirit infected me directly. So I joined babymarkt permanently during my master’s degree with an internship in email marketing. From the subsequent working student position, to the position as (junior) marketing manager and deputy team leader, to the management of e-mail marketing, I was given the opportunity to develop both professionally and personally in a short period of time – and especially thanks to great colleagues who are always there to support me. For me, joining babymarkt.de as a trainee was absolutely the right decision. One year later, after many great and exciting insights, my commitment has paid off. I am now a Junior Product Manager and responsible for my own area with almost 30 suppliers, which clearly shows that with drive and motivation, babymarkt.de is exactly the right place to be. I already worked as a student trainee in project management at babymarkt.de during my Master’s degree. Exciting and varied tasks, a great team and the opportunity to take on responsibility and contribute my own ideas right from the start were the reasons why I started as a junior project manager after my studies. Meanwhile, I lead a team within project management. What I like most about my job is the variety of topics we are involved in as a gateway between our specialist departments and development departments.

Do you have a passion for e-commerce and enjoy working in a team? – Then come find out what it’s like to work with us and gain exciting insights into our everyday working life. Whether in administration, logistics or our stationary branches, you can improve and develop your key qualifications with us. Ideally, you have three to six months to complete your internship and can work full time.

Working student job

Are you looking for a job alongside your studies? That is also possible with us. As an enrolled student, you can take up a working student position with us. You will support us in our daily business and take on small projects on your own responsibility. This way, you can earn money while studying and develop your professional skills at the same time.

Dual studies

You can’t decide whether you’d rather study or do an apprenticeship? – Then a dual study programme is the solution. A dual study programme combines a university degree with professional practice.

Since 2018, we have been promoting dual study programmes in cooperation with the International School of Management Dortmund (ISM). During the dual study programme, the practical and theoretical phases alternate. This gives you the opportunity to immediately apply your theoretical knowledge in practice. A great plus: a semester abroad is integrated into your dual study programme.

Trainee programme

You would like to gain intensive practical experience after your studies and master the entry into professional life? – Our trainee programme makes this possible. We offer trainee programmes in the areas of online marketing, IT, logistics, project management and product management. Depending on the area, our trainees spend one to two years in different departments and thus get to know different tasks and topics. With our trainee programmes, we pursue the goal of preparing our high potentials in the best possible way for their upcoming challenges in their professional lives.
