When I started as a team assistant in our product management department (the coolest department in the world) at babymarkt.de in 2016, I never would have thought what I would experience within this time. Apart from the almost doubled number of employees and the numerous legendary parties, I have developed both professionally and personally. After my part-time training as a purchasing specialist, I am now a process manager for the entire product management and am lucky enough to be involved in many exciting projects. Do I have the feeling that I can make a difference here? Absolutely!

When I handed in my Master’s thesis in summer 2020, I was thinking a lot about finding a job, which wasn’t going to be easy in pandemic times. So I was all the more pleased when shortly afterwards I first received an invitation to an interview and then an acceptance letter from babymarkt.de. Today, I can say that I am still very happy to have had this opportunity, as I was very well received by my colleagues and feel very comfortable in the team. As a trainee, I can get to know the different areas of logistics and other departments. New aspects await me every day, which make my daily work routine very varied. After my theoretical studies I can now gain a lot of practical experience.

When I started my training as a retail saleswoman at babymarkt.de in 2019, I could never have imagined how I would be able to develop professionally but also personally. In addition, babymarkt.de has always given me the chance to broaden my horizons, whether through training courses or through our legendary parties. As I approached my final exams in the summer of 2022, the big question was of course what to do next. In order to develop even more professionally, babymarkt.de gave me the chance to look behind the scenes and I therefore accepted my place in product management as a team assistant.

My babymarkt story began quite by chance in 2018 with a taster day in our store development. The warm welcome and the great team spirit infected me directly. So I joined babymarkt permanently during my master’s degree with an internship in email marketing. From the subsequent working student position, to the position as (junior) marketing manager and deputy team leader, to the management of e-mail marketing, I was given the opportunity to develop both professionally and personally in a short period of time – and especially thanks to great colleagues who are always there to support me.
